Boylan Bottling Co.
Boylan Bottling’s story starts in 1891, when a pharmacist named William Boylan created an elixir in his Paterson, New Jersey, apothecary. He named that serum, a derivative of birch trees, Boylan’s Birch, and began selling individual cups from a barrel in the back of a wagon.
In the latter part of the 20th century, Boylan found its greatest success in the distinctive long-neck embossed glass bottles for which the brand has become so well known. The general shape of the bottle and its embossed patterns have remained relatively unchanged from early iterations.
Creamy Red Birch Beer: The addition of vanilla makes this a creamier, slightly smoother version of the original.
Original Birch Beer: Distinctively minty and sharp, with strong notes of sweet birch and wintergreen oil.
Black Cherry: A unique blend of cherries, wild cherry bark, and extracts of bourbon vanilla. Flavorful, sweet, tart.
Creme Soda: Hints of vanilla extract, coffee, and chocolate result in a uniquely refreshing take on a classic creme soda.
Ginger Ale: Our take is a classic, pale ginger ale, with a clean taste. Smoother than a traditional ginger beer.
Root Beer: A rich sassafras flavor derived from cinnamon, sweet birch, vanilla, and wintergreen oil.
