One Stripe Chai Co. Chai Me At Home is a loose masala chai blend of Assam CTC black tea, green cardamom, ginger and black peppercorn, in a 100 g (3.5 oz) bag that makes about 20 servings.

The black tea is single-origin, from a fourth-generation family-owned tea garden in the Tinsukia region of Assam, India. The recipe follows the masala chai that founder Farah grew up drinking at home, made by her mother with plenty of strong black tea. There is no milk or sweetener in the bag, so you add your own.

You make it on the stove instead of steeping it. Bring half a cup of water, half a cup of any milk and 2 teaspoons of the blend to a boil, boil on medium-high for 5 to 8 minutes, then strain and sweeten to taste. That makes one short cup of strong chai. Because the blend is loose, you will need a fine strainer. It contains caffeine from the black tea.
