Cafe Du Monde Roasted Coffee is a dark roasted coffee blended with chicory, and it is also available in decaf. The decaf is decaffeinated with ethyl acetate, a natural chemical found in many fruits.
The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand opened in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. At the café the coffee is served black or au lait, which is half coffee and half hot milk.
