Brooklyn Slate Company Slate Cheese Board — 7 x 12 in

The Brooklyn Slate Company Slate Cheese Board is a 7 x 12 inch natural-edge board cut from slate at the company's family quarry in upstate New York. It is sized for a single cheese, or a plate for two with crackers and fruit, and it also holds hors d'oeuvres on a bar cart or side table.

Each board is split by hand with a chisel and hammer, so no two have exactly the same cut, shape or color, and every one is at least 3/8 inch thick. It comes with a burlap bag, a piece of soapstone chalk for writing cheese names right on the slate, and anti-slip padded feet. With the bag and tag, it is ready to give as a host or housewarming gift.
